StarTimes is set to premiere a new exciting local drama KIU, on December 12, featuring some of the most outstanding actors in the lead roles.
Exciting news for anxious fans as StarTimes group is set to premiere a local drama, KIU on December 12 this year.
The drama features some renowned industry heavyweights such as the likes of Blessing Lung’ano playing Alex, and Celestine Gachuhi (Alisha) as the main characters, with appearances from other top dogs in the industry like Anita Wawuda, Joyce Maina, Derek Mbanga, Reinherd Bonke, Chantelle Naisula, and Linda Waiganjo among many others.

KIU, a show directed and produced by Reuben Odanga, is a captivating drama encompassing secrets, betrayal, lies, and revenge all served in one dish. Celestine (Alisha) and Blessing (Alex) play a married couple in which, Alisha is a devoted wife to both her husband and her in-laws. The only thing that seems to set her off is the difficulty she has to give her husband a child. Their marriage is good until her best friend, who is more like a sister, lands in the country from abroad and she (Alisha) finds out that she is having an affair with her husband.

The premiere screening of KIU will happen on Thursday, December 8, at an industry invite-only event. It will then premiere officially to audiences on December 12, on Rembo (channel 113 on DTT and 484 on DTH) every Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm.
In line with KIU’s release, StarTimes has announced a festive season promotion dubbed ‘recharged and get upgraded where subscribers will enjoy an upgrade to the next higher bouquet for the next 15 days when they recharge their subscriptions. The promo which kicked off on Wednesday, November 15, and is set to run till January 31, 2023, will allow families to spend quality time together, enjoying great family entertainment during this holiday season.
