While delivering a speech at the Kalasha Gala Awards, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna admitted his undying crush on Sarah Hassan.
On Saturday, December 3, 2022, the Kalasha International Film and TV Awards 2022 were held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

The event was attended by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Kenya Film Commission CEO Timothy Owese, Nairobi Senator Sifuna, and other dignitaries.
While delivering his speech, Sifuna revealed his crush on Sarah Hassan. He admitted that he accepted the invitation to the Kalasha award gala solely to meet the actress.
The senator from Nairobi also admitted that Hassan had ‘disturbed’ his heart for many years.
“Nataka kuchukua fursa hii kwanza niwakaribishe nyote katika jiji letu la Nairobi na nikiri kwamba nilikubali mwito huu kwa sababu nilikua na kiu sana ya kukutana na mwanadada mmoja ambaye amenisumbua roho miaka mingi. Anaitwa Sarah Hassan, sijamuona.”

Sarah Hassan’s reaction to Sifuna’s statement
Sarah Hassan only laughed off Kenyans’ teasing comments after Sifuna poured out his heart to her.
The actress shared some of her reactions to netizens who were mocking her after Sifuna admitted that she was ‘disturbing’ his heart on her Instagram Stories.
“Una mchezo master,” Sarah Hassan said in response to a netizen who said her new name is’shorey wa kuwakunywa.’
Martin Dale is Sarah Hassan’s husband. The two lovebirds married on February 25, 2017, and moved to the United States before returning to the country.
