In the semifinals, Fiji won by a landslide 21-17 after Kenya had finished with an advantage of 17 points to 7 during the first half of play.

This was an improvement of the team after Hong kong 7’s where they lost all matches.

The squad that played at Dubai 7’s will be the same squad that will play at Capetown 7’s.

This comes just after the Kenya 7’s players complained of not being paid their dues for some time by the Kenya Rugby Union.
