At least 20 people with suspected Cholera symptoms have been admitted to the Ruiru Level 4 Hospital in Kiambu County for medical attention.
Those hospitalised are from areas of Kiratina, Murera, Gatong’ora, and Prison with two cholera-related death reports.
According to Murera ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), Moses Ngatha stated that so far 29 people from Theta and Murera have recovered from Cholera.
“The unknown number of people are admitted at Gachororo Health Center for further check-ups and treatment,” said Murera Ward MCA, Moses Ngatha.

The Ruiru Level 4 Hospital management declined to speak to the media outlets and relatives of those hospitalized say the patients started showing cholera symptoms including diarrhoea and vomiting before being rushed to the nearby medical centres.
The Ministry of Health has advised members of the public to take care of the emerging deadly diseases and also practice high levels of hygiene to avoid Cholera infection.
