The South Korean three (3) fighter jets made a significant show off during an air show at a military air base in Cheongju, South Korea.

Making a military point of view, a spokesperson for North Korea’s ministry of foreign affairs clarified that the air military drills on Tuesday as a ceaseless and reckless military provocation designed to prepare for attacks on North Korea, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported.

Signifying the process, the joint South Korea-US air exercises dubbed Vigilant Storm was in preparation for aggression mainly aimed at striking the strategic targets of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea-DPRK the spokesperson was quoted saying by Pyongyang’s official Korean Central News Agency.

“If the United States continuously persists in the ongoing grave military provocations, the DPRK will take into account more powerful follow-up measures,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

North Korea was purely prepared and “ready to take all necessary measures for defending its sovereignty, people’s security and territorial integrity from outside military attacks,” the official stated, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Showing military toughness, North Korea on Friday simply fired two short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan, the latest in a flurry of missile launches over the past several weeks that mark a worrying escalation in tension and demonstrate North Korea’s increasing willingness in order to make its military strength.

On the other hand, Pyongyang has also focused on its rhetoric and nuclear weapons as well, recently adopting a nuclear doctrine that authorizes pre-emptive nuclear attacks in loosely defined crisis situations.

The military image shows that last week the United States, South Korea, and Japan warned that an “unparalleled” response would be warranted if North Korea tests a nuclear weapon.

Furthermore, the US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said on Monday, October 31, 2022, that Washington will not recognize Northrecognize a nuclear-armed state, and the US policy remained the “completed denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”.

In addition, Pyongyang’s warning of a powerful response on Tuesday comes as more than 240 US and South Korean aircraft participate in the Vigilant Storm air exercises, which began on Monday, October 31, and continue until Friday, November 4, 2022.

In a joint military drill, the US has deployed approximately one hundred (100) aircraft to the exercises, according to Yonhap News Agency, including four advanced F-35B stealth fighters from the US Marine Fighter Attack Squadron based in Japan, as well as EA-18 electronic warfare aircraft, KC-135 tankers and U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft.

Finally, South Korea has deployed one hundred forty (140) aircraft for the drills, including F-35A stealth fighters as well as F-15K and KF-16 fighters. Also, the military recently completed the 12-day “Hoguk” military field exercises which are held annually and involve US troops.
