Mongolia and China Agree to Enhance Bilateral Ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed his Mongolian Counterpart Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh in the great hall of the people in Beijing, China.

Xi said China is willing to work hand in hand with Mongolia to ensure the stable and long-lasting development of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

In a statement, Jinping said that the two countries will strengthen dialogue, promoting cooperation on China’s belt and road initiative and Mongolia’s Prairie Road development strategy as well.

“China is ready to expand cooperation with Mongolia in key areas such as the economy, trade, energy, and mining, calling for the two countries to actively promote the development of China, Mongolia, and Russia economic corridor and the construction of the China-Russia natural gas pipeline transiting through Mongolia”, said Xi Jinping.

He also stated that China fully supports Mongolia’s plan to plant 1 billion trees and willing to establish a cooperation center to combat the certification with Mongolia.

President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh said that Mongolia is willing to maintain close Political exchanges with China and firmly supports the one China Principle. He added Mongolia is ready to jointly build the Belt Road Initiative with China enhancing cooperation in key fields.

Khürelsükh also appreciated China’s efforts to maintain world peace and stability, saying Mongolia will strengthen coordination with China in international affairs to contribute to regional peace and development.

The two heads of state witnessed the signing of cooperation documents. They agreed to work together to promote, modernization, and build a community with a shared future featuring peaceful coexistence, mutual assistance, and cooperation.
