On Saturday the first rally car will be flagged off at 9 am on Lisa farm, on the outskirts of Machakos Town. This round of the 2022 Kenya Rally Championship is sponsored by Kenya Breweries Limited.

A preliminary examination of the Rallye Sports Club Rally (RSC Rally) route has been scheduled for Friday. The rally cars will be presented at the Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani, for inspection as drivers familiarize themselves with the weekend route.

Sikh Union Club Training Rally

As reported by Nation, newcomers have been welcomed to join motorsports through enrollment in a training rally organized by the Sikh Union Club, on November 12 and 13.

The 15-kilometer stage has been set at the Stoni Athi Resort, Machakos County.

The organizers are charging Ksh.15,000 entry fee per rally car and Ksh. 1000 for a carload of spectators.

To qualify, competitors must wear helmets, race suits, as well as hand and neck support devices. The minimum roll cage plus seats and seat belts with a five-year extension on their validity term are additional stringent standards.

The next major round will be held next year from December 9 to 18. Due to the secrecy around the route, the main track will be unveiled a day before each leg of the rally.

The 10-day event is reported to cover a distance of approximately 3,500 kilometers retracing classic safari rally routes between Kenya and Tanzania.
