Top 5 Jaw-Dropping Moments from TMI
The show has seen top comedians and influential Kenyans make appearances in a well-crafted TV Comedy Show. These are just some of the most memorable moments;
- Web Exclusive Interview Professor Wajakoyah
The main entertainer in this interview was the ever-vibrant Roots Party flagbearer Professor George Wajakoyah. Wajakoyah was speaking on qualifying as a candidate for the 2022 Presidential Elections.
Witty remarks and far-fetched analogies inspired a fantastic show, in which the ‘weed dictator’ expressed dissatisfaction with Kenya’s Judicial system. Wajakoyah, who eventually emerged 3rd in the elections out of four cleared candidates, joked about putting the Judiciary in River Yala.
Here’s how it played out;
- Njugush walks out of his interview with TY
Popular Content Creator and Comedian Njugush appeared on the show in an interview with Ty to highlight his experience addressing socio-political issues in his content, the difference between Timothy Kimani and Njugush, and advice to people pursuing their dreams.
Unpredictable as always, Njugush hilariously ‘walked out after a joke on the show by Ty who pointed out that he was hoping ‘Timo’ was not the identity that came for the interview.
The show continued and it was a nostalgic yet rib-cracking episode;
- Rising Cost of Living featuring Amandeep Jagde
Popular Stand Up Comedian Amandeep Jagde wowed fans in this episode. Global Economics correspondent TMI, Amandeep Jagde, reacted to a question on his code of dressing by saying, ‘You helping me did cross my mind, but I thought you were broke too’
‘Cooking oil will be the same price as a plot in Kakamega’ is also quite amusing, especially when he mentions rappers could start flexing about deep-frying;
- Fuel Shortage in Kenya
The show also highlights current events and at that particular period, Kenyans were grappling with a shortage of fuel leading to long queues at the pump. Ty teams up with Kenyan Comedian Mammito as the TMI Correspondent.
- The Head Of The DCI Bwana Kinoti Is Beefing With The Head Of The DPP Bwana Haji
Rap/Beef Correspondent Eric ‘Ma yoh yoh’ Lu Savali is an excellent narrator and character impersonator. In this episode, TMI highlights the ‘beef’ between Noordin Haji and former DCI boss George Kinoti. The beef started in 2019 when Noordin Haji put out a policy document- Decision to Charge 2019- which effectively automated the case management system which in effect reduced the work of the police to just investigations, no laying of charges.
The show has been a huge success and currently boasts 11.8k Subscribers on YouTube.
