Jubilee Party Threatens to Walk Out of Azimio Coalition

Nairobi; Political headache looms in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya as members of the Jubilee party have threatened to walk away from the coalition.

In a press briefing on Thursday, November 10, 2022, the Jubilee members led by Sabina Chege accused the ODM party of taking two (2) out of the three (3) reserved Parliamentary Service Commission-PSC positions at its expense.

The allegations come after the Jubilee Party noted that there was no agreed exclusivity over the Parliamentary Service Commission slots.

Furthermore, the Party members gave a strong political warning by outlining terms and conditions to the Orange Democratic Movement Party of unfairness in the coalition.

Giving a political image, the leaders in the party claimed that the Senate Minority Whip Fatuma Dullo was delisted, and replaced by the ODM’s Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omugeni stating that it was an unfair deal of leadership.

On the other hand, the Orange Democratic Movement Party whose leader is Raila Odinga had simply nominated Members of Parliament Mishi Mboko of the National Assembly and Okong’o Omugeni of the Senate while Wiper Party nominated Patrick Makau respectively.

 “Our straightforward goal was to nominate intelligent and smart hardworking senior counsel in the House, whose resources will be witnessed at a highly ranked percentage,” a section of the Jubilee members said on Thursday during a press briefing in Nairobi.
