Marriage is an institution that many people are shying away from due to either personal or shared experiences that left those who set out with good intentions, heartbroken, frustrated and counting their losses.

However, Esther Wahome urges people to look at successful marriages rather than dwelling on failed marriages and relationships.

“Look at my life. Let us start talking about the successful marriages that we have since they are many in the industry someone like Sarah K is over 30 years in marriage, and singer Jemimah Thiong’o is almost 40 years married. Even in the secular world, we have, Wahu and Nameless, so marriage is not a scam in my opinion.” Esther Wahome said.

Esther even gave herself as an example. She is a mother of three children and has been married to her husband for 26 years. Her firstborn child has cleared university while her second-born child is in high school and her last-born is almost joining high school.

“I have been married for 26 years to a great man who every day pushes me to be what God wants me to be without forcing me to be in the limelight,” she said

Esther Wahome added that she prefers to keep her children and family life private and away from the limelight.

“My family is private and I love to choose my battles, but I have a beautiful marriage,” She said.

Esther urged single people in society to embrace marriage because marriage is not a scam.
