France head coach Didier Deschamps has left out several famous names after revealing his 25 man squad for the world cup 2022.
Paul Pogba and Ngolo Kante who were the leading midfielders for the France squad have been sidelined due to pending injury complications.
Other star players who never made it to the cut are United forward Antony Martial and Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy.
France are in Group D of the tournament alongside Denmark,Australia and Tunisia.
While the team features several prominent names, a number of familiar faces also failed to make the cut.
Hugo Lloris, Kylian Mbappe, William Saliba, Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud, and Christopher Nkunku are some of the top names in the squad.
Incredibly, Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane was also included in the team despite initial fears he could miss the tournament through injury.

Pogba was left out due to a knee injury which has seen him miss the better part of the new season, while Kante is nursing a hamstring injury.
