Lupita Nyong’o partners with De Beer as brand ambassador


Lupita Nyong’o the award-winning hollywood actress has partnered with De Beer as their global ambassador, arousing controversial sentiments.

They expressed their disappointment to Twitter pointing out that the company is sucking Africa dry of its natural resources and she should not be working with such a company being an African descendant.

Lupita Nyong’o says that with the partnership she will be able to empower women and enlighten them. According to Fashion network, this is what she said

One Twitter user expressed that some of the companies allegedly stealing African natural resources use Africans as a shield in order for them to continue with their actions.

Some Twitter users expressed their disappointment on Twitter showing that they were deeply disturbed by Lupita Nyong’o’s decision.

De beers has expressed their joy in working with Lupita Nyong’o as their global ambassador.

They admired her elegance and magnetism, and also acknowledged that Lupita Nyong’o is an inspiration to many and they are glad that they get to work with her.  According to Fashion Network the CEO of De Beers Marc Jacheet Said
