Helping hand as Ndindi Nyoro pays fees arrears for a stranded Form 2 Girl

Murang’a, Kenya; Kiharu Constituency Member of Parliament-Ndindi Nyoro and the Murang’a County Woman Representative-Betty Maina offer -Fidelis Wangari a Form Two student at Kahithe secondary School right to her education.

Offering educational rights, Ndindi Nyoro and Betty Maina jointly decided to clear fees arrears for Fidelis Wangari amounting to Ksh70,000 on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Kiharu-MP and Woman Representative came to her rescue and settled her fees arrears and also promised to give a hand where possible.

On the other hand, Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina visited the school where Fidelis Wangari studies and made a conversation with the students.

“It on a high note that I had to start the day at Kahithe Secondary School due to unavoidable circumstances in order to bring back our beloved Fidelis Wangari a Form two student who had been sent home for fees arrears.” Betty Maina said.

“It is very important to pass through the educational process at any stage when needed for good of any child in order to taste the future fruits also most of the students who are occasionally sent home for school fees have faced challenges online to poverty which leads to low self-esteem and lack of personal confidence’’, Maina stated.

In addition, Fidelis Wangari’s parents appreciated the two leaders for playing a significant role to change their daughter’s educational life.

Also, Betty Maina noted that Wangari’s situation was also a major case among thousands of students facing hardships in fee payment.

She called upon well-wishers to give a helping hand for educating other students who face similar hardships.

 “I have jointly put my mind together with Hon Ndindi Nyoro for the support of other students who are facing similar challenges’’, Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina said in a statement.

Furthermore, the outgoing Education Cabinet Secretary-George Magoha has in the past months’ condemned education institutions for sending students home for fee arrears.

Finally, Magoha urged the principals to be mindful of the unfavorable economic hardships as well as the cost of living that has pushed parents to the brink of collapse.
