Kenyan comedian Crazy Kennar brought a smile to a church back in his home village in Awasi Kisumu, where he returned to deliver a sum of money to assist with church construction.
Despite his reputation for funny comedy that goes along with his name, Kennar appeared poised when he stood up to hand the money over to the church elders.
In the video he shared on social media, the comedian is seen donating a large sum of money, the exact amount of which is unknown.
He was with a group of friends and a fellow comedian, Stanley Omondi, with whom he occasionally shoots content.

“Back in the village to build the church,” he remarked.
His post was then followed by massive praises from his fans.
However, a few days ago, the comedian was chastised by Americans who misunderstood his latest video of ‘side chic vs main chic.’
Kennar attempted to portray in a comical manner how the actual woman in a relationship reacts to her husband’s overtures as opposed to how the man’s secret lover, ‘side chic’, conducts herself.
The video begins with the comedian’s longtime collaborator Bushra Sakshi, pampering ‘her man’, Stanley Omondi, with small romantic gestures.
Kennar’s main chic character is full of fights and arguments.
While the video has gone viral, some Americans have taken issue with the representations of the ‘Side Chic’ as a pretty, light-skinned woman and the ‘Main Chic’ as a rough, shabby dark-skinned woman.
Americans took issue with Kennar’s choice to tag into colorism stereotypes that glorify the side woman as a glamorized, light-skinned woman and demonize the main woman as an angry, dark-skinned lady after the video was shared by the popular black American Twitter account Daily Loud.
Many Kenyan women came out in support of Kennar, urging the offended masses to put down their pitchforks and understand his comedy.
