American rapper Joseph Antonio Cartagena popular as Fat Joe has raised praises for former Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho in a viral video.
Fat Joe told netizens that nothing can stop Joho, using his famous phrase from the hit song “All the way up.”
“Joho, 001, nothing can stop you, you’re all the way up,” he expressed.
Kenyans’ reactions to the video, on the other hand, have been mixed.

Some agreed with the American rapper, while others expressed reservations.
According to a local media house, some have suggested that Joho and Fat Joe’s friendship may not be genuine, claiming that with money, anything is possible.
“Money can buy you friendship,” remarked one netizen.
“Mombasa didn’t have a governor. We had a music promoter. A promoter who paid Chris Brown a total of 91 million shillings,” suggested another.
Joho allegedly paid a hefty Ksh90 million to fly Chris Brown to Kenya for the first time in 2016, for a mega concert in the coastal region.
Kenyans, on the other hand, chastised him for supporting foreign musicians at a time when Kenyan artists were demanding fair airplay for their music since most radio stations favored international music.
In a similar article, Kenyans on Twitter openly chastised local artist Juliani after he complained that Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga chose a Tanzanian musician, Diamond Platnumz, to lead his final rally over a local musician.
Reigniting claims from a year ago, netizens responded to him labeling Diamond’s performance distasteful, as they remind him that he, too, allegedly chose another man’s wife despite there being “a couple of fish in the sea”.
“Juliani is complaining that Azimio hired Diamond Platnumz and we have so many good artists in Kenya. He’s forgetting that he also went for somebody’s wife while we have so many beautiful single ladies in this country,” wrote one netizen.
Juliani’s wife Lilian Nga’ng’a, made headlines after it was alleged that she and Juliani were secretly dating while she was still married to Governor Alfred Mutua.
