The online fashion police have deployed their humor to mock the latest wardrobe choice of Deputy President William Ruto, with some speculating that he borrowed the outfit from his running mate Rigathe Gachagua after “sleeping over”.
While attending a prayer session in Karen, Ruto wore pink pants and paired them with a printed t-shirt and blazer, all with clashing designs, which many did not think went together.
On the other hand, his running mate has previously faced criticism for his fashion sense.
Some jokingly referred to the suit he wore when being announced as Ruto’s running mate as an “oversized suit from the past”.

Ruto was moved to tears during a combined prayer session with religious leaders on Tuesday, August 2, at his official house in Karen, Nairobi.
In a shot taken at the prayer event, DP Ruto could be seen shedding tears with his eyes tightly closed. At one point, he hides his face in his palms while other worshippers are heard singing a worship song.
Through his Twitter handle account, Ruto however shared a message of hope, believing that he will emerge the victor in the August 9 Election.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast,” Ruto stated on his Twitter handle account.
The prayer service, led by Bishop Mark Kariuki of Deliverance Church International, was also attended by other leaders of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
DP Ruto’s crying moments in his political life have been raising emotions in his firm supporters.
After winning the 2017 election under the Uhuru-Ruto narrative, Ruto cried on stage showing disbelief at how they made it amid the intense battle between them and NASA coalition leaders.
