Emotional John Nyabuto revealed that while watching the live video, all he saw was his happy daughter having a fan time and even waving to her online fans, but he was perplexed when people started sending bad news.

“I watched the clip from my phone. I saw it was my daughter swimming excitedly. I did not see anything unusual. She was just swimming, talking to the camera, and she looked very happy,

“However, I saw people writing sorrowful comments, and I did not understand why they were saying bad news, yet she was just swimming,” he narrated in a video shared on social media.

Confused, the father of six received another call, one that has since broken his heart.

“Reality hit me when a Kenyan from Canada called and explained to me that my daughter drowned as documented in the sad clip while swimming. I was so shocked and couldn’t stop crying,” added John.

Hellen Wendy was the firstborn in her family, and despite not continuing her education after high school, her dream was to travel abroad.

The enthusiastic 24-year-old then began applying for green cards, which she got lucky and flew to Canada in 2018, where she became the family’s only hope.

Hardworking Hellen then began her nursing studies while in Canada, working part-time to support her family back home and even paying for her school fees.

The father is pleading with well-wishers to assist him in bringing her daughter’s body back to Kenya so that she can be laid to rest.

Switch media extends its heartfelt condolences to the family.
