In response to the claims by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati in his affidavit about a meeting that sought to enforce the election outcome in favor of certain parties who were involved in the elections on basis of outcome.

According to Tuju, in a presser on August 28th Sunday, Guliye and Molu planned a private meeting with him in which they attempted to negotiate outside their mandate as commissioners.

Referring to their timing of the meeting as alleged to be 3 am as wrong citing that they met at 4 am in the morning hence seeking a revelation by the commissioners on the reason for the meetup.

“I want Prof Guliye and Mr. Molu to explain what they came to do in my house, what that discussion was about and the drift of that discussion was more of auctioneers rather than Commissioners. I want them to dispute that they did not come to my house. I will make available footage from CCTV cameras installed in my house to the DCI to aid investigations,” Tuju reiterated.

He further accused the Chebukati of giving half-truths and offering information that was beneficial for his stance alone, as he disclosed there has been a meeting at an undisclosed place between the two.

Challenging that the chairman of the electoral body should go ahead and reveal what entailed the meeting of the discussions he held with the Director of Ruto’s campaigns, Josephat Nanok.

Alleging that he sought a meeting with Chebukati after a colleague confided in him about irregular activities concerning the forms streaming in from the polling stations.

The colleague an official of IEBC whom he says was threatened by IEBC CEO Hussein Marjan on the raised allegations hence his choice to go looking for the Commissioner for a word and clarity.

“One of the IEBC commissioners informed me that some of the Forms 34A were being brought down and were being replaced by other Forms 34A. He was not able to know the exact location from which it was happening. This gentleman was so terrified and he actually mentioned that he had been threatened by Mr. Marjan, who warned that he (the commissioner) should not play with him lest he would know who he really was,” Tuju added in his presser.
