A relief to former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko after the High Court cleared him to contest for the Mombasa Gubernatorial seat.
High Court Judge Stephen Githinji orders the electoral board IEBC to gazette Mike Sonko as the Wiper party candidate for the Mombasa governor race.
The three-judge bench further ruled that Mr. Sonko is eligible under the constitution to vie for Governor Mombasa stating that the aspirant locked out from the contest was unfair.
