Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, has told President, Uhuru Kenyatta, to retire in peace and not involve himself with sophisticated moves and campaigns to influence the upcoming General Election.
In his statement made yesterday in Webuye, Bungoma County, the lawmaker said that Uhuru stands as a barrier to their political campaigns, making it difficult to compete fairly.

“I want to tell President Uhuru Kenyatta that he should stop acting on us and to concentrate with his retirement and leave the office in peace,” Sudi said.
Sudi’s statement conspired to defend Nairobi UDA gubernatorial candidate, Johnson Sakaja, who faces trials for allegedly not holding a university degree certificate as per the requirement.
He accused their opponents (Azimio) purporting they have plans to sabotage Sakaja’s political ambition of becoming Nairobi’s next governor.
“They have put Sakaja in confinement because they are aware that Sakaja leads with 65 percent of votes in Nairobi leaving the 35 percent to his fellow competitors. I want to encourage Sakaja that he should not fear to face trials in court because even us we were in that situation sometimes back,” added the MP.
Sudi is also in court facing trial for allegedly forging academic certificates while seeking clearance from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to vie in the 2013 election.
However, in relation to Sudi’s remarks, Kenya Kwanza team will be making sure that Sakaja appears on the ballot and hopefully gets voted in as Nairobi’s next governor.
