Enact value addition on agro-processing, and manufacturing reforms as a way of creating job opportunities for the Kenyan youth.

Deputy President William Ruto has chastised Raila Odinga by referring to him as a man with no agendas on the table. In today’s rally in Mathioya, Murang’a County,
Ruto cited the Azimio coalition as a team that drives politics of personality
and does not have popular interests.

He further mentioned that Kenyans need formalizing agendas that will tackle the economic hardships that have put them on the verge. However, Ruto pointed out projects that he claimed to have accomplished in the last nine years under the Jubilee government.

Some of the pinpointed projects include Murang’a County electricity connections from 45,000 people to 165,000 through the World Bank Program, and the construction of six Technical Colleges in the county to offer education services to the youth.

“We have installed the electricity program in Murang’a County and
currently the figures of the beneficiaries have stalled from 45,000 people to
165,000″

“Apart from electricity, Murang’a has also been enlisted to have benefited from the
TVET program after constructing six technical colleges in every constituency
within the county to offer the best education services to our youths,” DP said.

According to Ruto, the government offered Murang’a Level 5 Hospital an ICU machine, radiology unit, installation of a urinal machine, and Sh600 million budgeted for people to cater for their health services.

He projected the Kenya Kwanza manifestos which
will include a budgeting of Sh100 billion for housing, agro-processing, value
addition, and manufacturing companies for job creation.

“Our youth need jobs and businesses, not ‘tibim’. Our Kenya Kwanza government is planning to budget Sh100 billion for the housing program, value addition,
agro-processing, and manufacturing reforms as a way of creating job
opportunities for the Kenyan youths,” he said.

Ruto also stated that his government will spend Sh15 billion on Micro and Small
Enterprise Businesses as they prove their bottom-up model scheme to Kenyans.

Among the leaders who accompanied Ruto were Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula, and Murang’a Senator Irungu Kan’gata among others.

The Kenya Kwanza economic forums are expected to wile
countrywide as per their rally schedules.
