The mtaachana tu gang did not pray hard enough because the former Miss Universe Kenya, Rachel Mbuki celebrated her first wedding anniversary to her husband, Dmitry Litvishkova, and shared the news on her social media pages.
The news came as a shock for many because, in March, Rachel announced her separation from her husband. She shared the news of her reconciliation with her husband in a series of photos on her Instagram Story.
The couple celebrated their reconciliation by marking and celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Rachel and Dmitry had separated for seven months before they shared the news of coming back together.
Mbuki shared on her pages, “Happy wedding anniversary to us,” accompanied by photos of their time together including some of their wedding photos.
Earlier in March, Mbuki shared on her socials that they had decided to part ways. The former Miss Universe Kenya emphasized that it was not an easy decision for both parties and requested kindness and privacy.

“It is with much regret that I announce that my husband and I have come to the tough decision to end our marriage. We are currently separated, and I am filing for a divorce. Marriage can be tough and this is the part where people usually ask for privacy.”
Rachel did not share the reason why they chose to separate which came as a shock to her close friends and family who had witnessed their fifteen-year relationship. Rachel acknowledged them for their support and expressed that she would want their support as she transitions.
“I know this comes as a shock to you all because you were too invested in us as well, but I hope we can continue to count on your love and support as we transition to this new phase.”
The news of the divorce came only a few months after Dmitry surprised Mbuki with a brand new Porsche Cayenne worth Ksh 10 million. Rachel had shared her excitement for the car on her social media pages.
Rachel is currently residing in the United States as a journalist in one of the mainstream American TV.
