Another Hollywood breakup to mourn for. The choreographer slash actress slash singer Teyana Taylor and former basketball player Iman Shumpert are breaking up after ten years together and seven years of marriage.
Teyana took to her social media pages to clarify the reason they broke up. She also put to rest the numerous rumors that had been going on about why they broke up. She added that there was no bad blood between Iman and herself.
“AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ isn’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners, and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”
The 32-year-old added she was keeping their separation private and due to that, they were able to deal with the separation successfully and peacefully. Teyana explained the reason she felt the need to clear the air was because the narratives were getting out of hand.
“We just keep y’all a$$es out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise. The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved.”

Teyana and Iman share two daughters together, “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., 7, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 3. The two revealed in 2016 that they secretly got married in the same bathroom that Taylor delivered Junie in.
Iman had been dealing with cheating scandals for a while now and had even addressed some of them. The most recent was when he was accused of having an affair with one of the new artists signed to his music label. Iman is yet to give a statement.
