According to Waithera, the man dashed into a pharmacy, and returned to his car within minutes. Little did he know that he had captured her attention in a way that would distort her week.
“I’d parked at that new arcade near UNEP on Limuru road, minding my business when this gorgeous man parked right next to me and dashed into the pharmacy real quick… and back to his car; all the while unaware that he had just ruined the rest of the week for me. I legit stared at him for a good couple of minutes until he drove off. I contemplated saying hello but y’all, I was in a dera and braless – this is not Hollywood!”

In her thread, Waithera described the man’s car, a VW Tuareg, his physique, and the fact that he was wearing ‘frameless spectacles.’
However, what truly captured the X-men’s attention was what happened next. Waithera confessed that, two days later, the man was still on her mind. She managed to recall his number plate and, out of curiosity, decided to look it up using the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) database.
“Two days later, this fool was still on my mind for some reason, and I could somehow still remember his number plate, so I did this little invasive but allowable thing, okay? I NTSA’d the number plate and got a name!”

Being a smart-brained woman and judging from his looks, the woman instinctively knew her gorgeous man must be on LinkedIn. With the newfound information, Waithera took to LinkedIn and found the man’s profile.
The woman mustered the courage to send him a message. When he didn’t respond initially, she realized she hadn’t included her phone number. Waithera promptly rectified that.

Waithera’s tweet quickly went viral. Some praised her determination in pursuing her crush, while others raised concerns about online privacy and the ease with which someone can track down personal information.
Nonetheless, netizens are wondering whether it is okay for a lawyer to carry out such actions let alone publicly confess to them. Aside from that, there is also the discussion as to whether what Waithera did would have been acceptable had she been a man.
