Ange Kagame, the only daughter of the long-serving president of Rwanda Paul Kagame, has been given a top strategy and policy job in her father’s office.
According to a post by The New Times Rwanda, the 29-year-old daughter of Paul Kagame will serve as the Deputy Executive Director, of the Strategy and Policy Council at the Office of the President. This comes from a report of a cabinet meeting that Kagame presided over on Tuesday, August 2.

Ms. Ange Kagame has been a senior policy analyst in the president’s office since 2019. She graduated from American universities with degrees in political science and international affairs. She attended Smith College, where she majored in Political Science, and Dana Hall School, a prep school in Welley, Massachusetts. She is also a Columbia University International Affairs Master’s degree holder.
The other two sons of President Kagame are both employed by the state. Ivan Kagame, his eldest son, was nominated to the Rwandan Development Board in 2020 with the responsibility of accelerating growth in the economy through the private sector.
