During the opening night of Drake It’s All A Blur tour in Chicago, a fan threw a phone at Drake while he was performing the song, So Anxious. This comes after Adele took to stage during her Las Vegas performance to warn concert goers on throwing items at artists while they performed. She then went on to dare them to try it and there would be consequences. Charlie Puth also shared similar sentiments urging concert goers to be considerate and just enjoy the show.
According to the viral video, the phone thrown by one of the concert goers from the crowd hit Drake on the arm but that did not stop him from continuing with his performance. The ohone was not part of his show but it had amazing moments like when he performed with a hologram of his younger self.
Other performers like Bebe Rexha got hit by a phone during her performance in New York that left her injured with stitches and a black eye with the man, Nicolas Malvagna behind it being charged.
Pink was also shocked when someone threw their mother’s ashes at her while she was performing. Kelsey Ballerini was struck with a bracelet on the eye and faces backlash and was called soft for speaking up about the incident. On the other hand, Ava Max was slapped on the face by a concert goer.
The recent activities might lead to artist to put up strict measures like more barricades during their concerts or atop going on tour altogether. Others speculate at this rate concerts might have a no phone policy or netting on stage. Ultimately, the culture at concerts is made by the fans so they are the ones to change.
