Deceased Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has been selected among 31 honorees in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2024.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed the latest list of honorees on Monday. The honorees were selected at a conference on June 16 from among hundreds of nominations. The names are decided upon by the prior recipients who serve on the Walk of Fame Selection Committee.

The actor who has been revered for his work in The Black Panther will receive a posthumous star with deceased musician Otis Redding. Tupac Shakur also previously received a posthumous honor on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Other honorees of the Class of 2024 include; hip-hop star Dr. Dre, actress Gal Gadot, award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, musician Gwen Stefani, Christina Ricci, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and tennis player Billie Jean King among others in the different categories.
Previous Walk of Fame honorees have praised the move to include Chadwick Boseman in the Class of 2024. The actor died on August 28, 2020, after a long battle with colon cancer. He was diagnosed with Stage III cancer in 2016. Prior to his death, Chadwick Boseman played the role of T’Challa in the hit Marvel movie Black Panther.

Honoring him in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2024 is just one way of cementing his legacy in Hollywood.
