Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Johnny Depp and Aquamarine actress, Amber Heard are making headlines again but this time for quite a noble act.
Johnny Depp is donating two hundred thousand dollars to dive charities each that he got from Amber Heard settling him from their public defamation trail.
Johnny Depp plans on donating to charities close to his heart and so he will be splitting the $1 million dollars to: Make A Film foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society and Amazon Fund Alliance.
The ex-couple met in 2011in a set of the film, The Rum Diary. At the time the two were in relationships with other partners. Johnny Depp with singer, Vanessa Paradis and Amber Heard with photographer, Tasya van Ree.
The two eventually got married and after fifteen months of marriage, Amber Heard filed for a divorce in May 2016, claiming irreconcilable differences, tahtnled the pair to reach a $7 million dollar divorce settlement.

In March 2019, Johnny Depp sued for defamation over an op-ed that Amber penned for the Washington post claiming sexual, physical and mental abuse from her marriage to Depp. This led to a public court proceeding that saw each party accuse each other of abuse and aired their dirty laundry to the public. The proceedings that started on April 11 2022 ended on June 1 2022.
The jury gave Depp $10 million dollar for compensatory damages and $5 million dollars for punitive penalties and $2 million compensatory damages to Ms. Heard but the two agreed in December 2022, to Amber giving Johnny $ 1 million dollars that she has finally paid through her insurance.
