Safaricom Wi-Fi Router Becomes more Affordable as Price Reduces to almost Half

Safaricom PLC has announced a reduction in the prices of 4G Wi-Fi routers for Kenyans to take pleasure in more affordable Wi-Fi.

The 4G Wi-Fi routers prices will go down to almost half so as to increase the customers’ intake. The Kenya’s top communication company said Adrian and Huawei routers will retail at 40 pecernt lower than the previous prices. The new routers will come with 30GB free data valid for one month to complete the subscription package.

Internet is being used greatly worldwide and this increases the demand of internet service providers. Safaricom customers can now access the internet by purchasing affordable 4G Wi-Fi routers.

The information was sourced from their twitter that was published on 1st April. “Enjoy seamless and fast Wi-Fi internet at home. Enjoy a 40% price drop on Safaricom 4G Wi-Fi routers,” the company said. Customers can purchase the routers at Ksh 5,999 and Ksh 6,999 a reduction from Ksh 9,999 and Ksh 10,999, respectively.

Subscribers can choose either Bronze 4G Wireless 90GB at Ksh 2,999, Silver 4G Wireless 120 GB at Ksh 4,100, Gold 4G Wireless 200GB at Ksh 6,299 or Diamond 4G Wireless 400GB at Ksh 12,499.

This came five months after Safaricom 5G, the fifth generation mobile network was placed in five regions across the country. The 5G network allows customers to take pleasure in fast speed internet and reliable connection.

“SAFARICOM 5G IS HERE! Introducing Kenya’s first 5G network. Experience the fastest speeds and the most reliable connection ever, only on Safaricom 5G network,” the company said in a tweet.

The Chief Executive Officer, Peter Ndegwa revealed the 5G Wi-Fi network that targets customers who don’t have home fibre. The network will also be available for businesses with speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

The cost of the 5G router is Ksh 25,000. Setting it up will require one to give Ksh 5,000. 5G was launched a day after it unveiled a new service to help keep customers’ idle SIM cards active for a longer time.
