Dan Shikanda affirms support for Patrick Aussems who will remain as AFC Leopards Head Coach despite the Kenyan Premier League giants being ninth on the log with 14 points.
AFC Leopards Club Chairman Dan Shikanda has backed Belgian coach Patrick Aussems despite the club having won just two of their last nine games. The KPL giants are on a poor run of form and Aussem has been under heavy scrutiny by Ingwe fans.
Dan Shikanda has urged fans to be patient with Head Coach Patrick Aussems reiterating that he had raised the team’s performance to top-ten last season. The Club Chairman also noted that plans are in progress to boost the squad once the current transfer ban is lifted.
“One of the reasons we haven’t been performing well is that we have had to rely on players promoted from the youth team. Fortunately, the ban will end in July, after which we will be free to sign players who can help us win the championship,” said Shikanda.
A fortnight ago, Bidco United thrashed AFC Leopards 4-1 leading to heightened pressure on the management to oust Head Coach Patrick Aussems.
