Senator of Nairobi Sakaja Johnson has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of having a hand in the revocation of his credentials by the Commission for University Education(CUE).
The former ally of the president who served as chairman of TNA in 2013, said the revocation is null and void and claimed his removal was a politically instigated move to have him out of Nairobi’s next gubernatorial race.
Through a Facebook post, the senator assured his supporters of his presence on the ballot and a sure run for the seat of Nairobi Governor despite the allegations against him currently.
“The purported revocation of my credentials by the CUE chairman is null and void, and politically instigated. The chairman, Professor Chacha Nyaigotti has been coerced and intimidated by the president to illegally revoke recognition of accreditation that has been properly issued,” the post stated.
A confirmation earlier on from Prof Mwenda Ntarangwi the CUE’s chief executive acts as his shield in spite of all the lulls trying to be setbacks for his eligibility in this role.
Sakaja thereby questions the revocation since it’s the same degree certificate that had been used in having him cleared for the Nairobi County electoral race by the county’s returning officer authenticating his run for the governor role.
As of June 6, Sakaja said he presented his qualifications to the CUE for ascertaining his accreditation by the CUE as of his status in Team University in Uganda, where his certificate read he obtained his Bachelor of science degree in management.
The confirmation, he says, came through a letter from the university’s academic registrar confirming that Mr Sakaja had indeed enrolled for that distance learning degree course and graduated on October 21, 2016.
