‘Beat ya Clemo’ rings a familiar tune to Kenyan music lovers. It was a trademark by Legendary Kenyan Producer Clemo.
Legendary Producer Clemo is among 33 people nominated by Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja for the position of Chief County Officer in various dockets.
Subject to vetting and approval by Nairobi County Assembly. Producer Clemo, whose real name is Clement Rapudo Sijenyi, has been nominated to the City Culture, Arts, and Tourism docket.

Clemo has partnered with Jua Kali, Flexx, Nonini, and many more artists during the ‘Genge’ era of music in Kenya, dominating airwaves for years.
Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Ken Ng’ondi noted that vetting will take place on 22nd December. According to StandardMedia, the County Chief Officers are tasked with coordinating and directing various departmental duties as well as developing and implementing strategic plans.
