Bungei replaces Manasse Musyoka as the new Nairobi police commander.
Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome, has named Adamson Bungei the next Nairobi police chief. Bungei replaces Manasse Musyoka, who was yet to take up the role, a week after being appointed to replace James Mugera, who has now retired from the military.
Bungei was previously the OCPD for Buruburu and Central before being transferred to Baringo two years ago. Munga Nyale was also transferred to Kenya Police Headquarters as director of police reforms.
These new service changes would affect 13 top police officials, including Abdallah Komesha, former head of personnel at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters and now the Inspector General’s new main Deputy.
