Barcelona is rumoured to be looking to make a sensational move to re-sign Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Messi’s return to Camp Nou has long been club president Joan Laporta’s goal, and he recently expressed his desire for the Argentine icon to return and have a “beautiful finish” with the Blaugrana.
Although PSG has the option to extend his contract for another year, there have been prior suggestions that Barcelona would make an effort to re-sign the 34-year-old in the summer and are now prepared to re-launch those efforts.

This will be challenging, though, because PSG doesn’t want Messi to leave mid-season when they’re vying for their first-ever Champions League championship.
Another factor is PSG’s reluctance to grant Barcelona any favours because of the two teams’ relationship. Last but not least, it has been generally known that Messi is presently concentrating on his season with PSG and competing for Argentina in the World Cup.

According to the article, the ambitious move would seem unfeasible, and Barcelona has not yet spoken with Messi directly. The Blaugrana are conscious that time is not on their side since if a deal of this magnitude was going to be concluded in January, it should have been far along by now.
