Nadia Mukami: Pregnancy is a Walk in the Park

Maombi hitmaker and Seven Creatives Hub recording label founder, Nadia Mukami has recently opened up on her postpartum struggles.

In an interview, she noted that her goal is to get back to being fit and her ideal weight is 60 kg.  

“I am trying to get to 60KGs! it’s so hard to lose weight! Don’t get it twisted I love the new thick me exclusive of mummy pouch, double chin, and my wrestling built-like arms I struggled with my weight, I even don’t post a lot of photos and I had so much of client work because I was soo insecure,

“But Now it’s Nadia’s Time! I have been trying to keep fit because of the performances! Let’s say adjusting was sooooo hard for me!! But there are no shortcuts!!! I have to work on being fit! Let’s go!!!”

This comes after she got her postpartum results in Meru back in July. She was body shamed for her dressing despite her pulling a good crowd. On her social pages, she spoke about how raising a kid is an uphill task, and how it takes a toll on women both emotionally and physically.

The Lola hitmaker has applauded women for being strong and going through the challenges without breaking. This comes at a time when we are celebrating Mental Health Awareness month.

“I think most places need to focus on postpartum. Pregnancy is easy (I think it’s easier compared to the period after giving birth). Sheesh! Women are strong and we black/ African women are not allowed to say this. Utaambiwa leta mtoto ni/tulee kama amekushinda,”she wrote.

After childbirth, there were much behind the screens struggles that come with it. With her experience she is learning and proud of her progress.

Not new to us is her distinct hairstyle, she toned down to short hair. Lactation has taken a toll on her hair line and that is what prompted her to shave.

However, she said she feels like a free bird with her hairstyle and on her journey back to fitness her hair is easy to manage.
