The immediate former Ainabkoi Member of Parliament, William Chepkut, is reported to have died at Mediheal hospital in Parklands, Nairobi.
According to the source from Chepkut’s family, the MP died on Saturday, October 8 after battling illness.
The family said that they were informed of Chepkut’s passing and asked to travel to Nairobi from Uasin Gishu.
Prior to his loss as Ainabkoi MP in the August 9 General Election, William Chepkut served the constituency from 2017 to 2022.

As an Independent candidate, Chepkut lost the recent election to his rival, Samuel Chepkong’a, who stood with the United Democratic Alliance.
Samuel Chepkong’a defeated Chepkut by garnering 26,479 and 13,510 respectively.
