Miguna Miguna Holds on His Stand of Justice to Support Ruto’s Government

Miguna Miguna

Miguna Miguna is back at it yet again after receiving his passport in Canada, he says he is ready to travel back to his home country after the Red alert has been lifted.

The renowned lawyer has however criticized the online rants that tend to insinuate the support of President Ruto’s government in his comeback from exile as a way for his endless support to the Kenya Kwanza government.

Stating that his support will be available only if the rule of law is upheld to the latter and the peoples’ rights respected.

Miguna who had announced about traveling back to the country on 20th October said that the government is giving him his right back of being a Kenyan and it’s not a favor being done to him.

He further argued that his stance of opposing the attempts of violating the rule of law and human rights will still stand despite who the leaders are.

“If Ruto wants to act as a monarch then he should be scared of me. If Ruto wants to be governed by the rule of law and the principles of democracy and governance in a way that is fair then Miguna is his buddy and ally,” he added.

As he awaits the confirmation of red alerts to be lifted the embattled lawyer has stated that he would just set off on his journey for his homeland in hopes that he won’t be stopped from boarding the plane.

“I’m coming back on October 20 but I’m not sure if the Red Alert has been lifted,” the Canadian-based lawyer stated. However, I have not received confirmation that they have lifted the red alerts. I am going to do like I have always done- leave my home, board the plane, and hope that this time they will let me board the plane,” said Miguna Miguna.

Emphasizing that it’s his right to come back to Kenya and as he has always said, there will be no day he would support a regime that undermines the people.

“I draw the line where justice ends and injustice starts. Anybody who violates the rule of law and infringes other people’s rights, I will oppose. Whether it is Ruto, whether it is Uhuru Kenyatta or Raila Odinga Miguna will oppose you when you disobey laws, or court orders, you violate people’s rights and torture them you act like a monarch,” he told Gerald Bitok on The Tackle.
