Dr. William Samoei Ruto has been congratulated by renowned Nigerian megastar David Adedeji aka Davido on becoming the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.
In his statement of appreciation, the musician, who is also a citizen of the United States, said that Ruto’s triumph was good for Kenyan democracy.

29-year-old Davido is one of the most popular musicians emerging from West Africa. He is known for his huge singles including Fall, If, Aye, Jowo, and Champion Sound.
Additionally, he is the son of the wealthy Nigerian businessman Adedeji Adeleke, whose estimated net worth exceeds Sh70 billion.
The governor of Osun State, Isiaka Adeleke, and Adeleke are siblings.
William Ruto’s victory in the general election on August 9, 2022, was affirmed by the Kenyan Supreme Court.
He defeated Raila Amollo Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance with 7,176,141 votes to 6,942,930 for Odinga.
Raila rejected the results and went to court.
Team Azimio declared after the Supreme Court verdict that they accepted the result but disagreed with the judges’ methods of decision-making.
