Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni says Azimio has Strong evidence on Rigging of the 2022 Presidential election and are ready for Supreme Court.
In an interview on Friday, the SG stressed that Azimio is yet to file the petition together with the evidence that will deliberately show that the results of the August 9 presidential contest were altered.
Kioni argues that the Azimio team is currently putting together the requirements for the petition against the said results at the Supreme Court.
“Azimio is still keen (on filing the petition). How do you allow that kind of theft to go on? We know how the votes were suppressed and our legal team is currently handling that but rest assured the petition will be in court,” Kioni told the media.
He once again reprimanded the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for participating in electoral misconduct, going as far as saying that some employees of the electoral commission conspired with opponent politicians to rig the elections.
“We have gone through an electoral process that experienced rigging on an industrial scale, something that we have never seen since 1963. It is an embarrassment caused by the IEBC. If that rigging is not addressed by our courts of law, it makes no sense to go into any elections in future,” he said.
Kioni went ahead to thank Kenyans for maintaining the peace after the announcement of the president-elect by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati on Monday, reiterating the 2017 handshake between outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga greatly contributed to unity and peace Kenyan’s are experiencing currently.
The SG also tapped on the incidents that have been experienced by independent candidates who won seats at the polls leaving for President-elect William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza team, noting their change in allegiance can cost them their positions.
“If you were elected as an Independent candidate do not be in a hurry to pledge loyalty to another party. You must maintain that independent status for the rest of your term in Parliament. Equally, if you were elected on a particular political party ticket I advise you to desist from becoming practicing political pastoralists”.

His sentiments followed the move by Mandera Governor Ali Roba to join Kenya Kwanza on Thursday despite having been on the Azimio coalition before the polls.
