The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a public notice informing stakeholders of an upcoming scheduled maintenance of its Integrated Customs Management System (ICMS), a critical platform used for customs processing and cargo clearance.
According to the notice, the maintenance exercise is aimed at enhancing system performance and security to improve overall service delivery across the customs ecosystem.
Maintenance Dates and Downtime Details
KRA confirmed that the system will be temporarily unavailable as from Saturday, April 4, at 6:00 PM to Monday, April 6, at 6:00 AM
During this window, users will not be able to access ICMS services, potentially affecting customs declarations and cargo processing.
Advisory to Importers, Exporters, and Agents
In light of the scheduled downtime, KRA has advised all stakeholders, including importers, exporters, and clearing agents, to take proactive measures to avoid disruptions.
Users are encouraged to submit any urgent customs declarations and complete all necessary payments ahead of the maintenance window.
Additionally, stakeholders handling perishable or time-sensitive cargo have been urged to prioritize clearance before the system goes offline.
