Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has officially unveiled an upcoming Linda Mwananchi Tour, with the nationwide political engagement drive set to kick off this Sunday in Busia County.
In a Facebook post, Sifuna invited residents to attend the event, writing, “This Sunday after Mass ya kwanza, pale Busia town. Mnakaribishwa.”
The Busia launch is expected to attract a strong lineup of senior ODM leaders and elected representatives, with the likes of Siaya Governor James Orengo, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Vihiga Senator Osotsi Godfrey, Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka, MPs Omondi Caroli, Barongo Obadiah, Gisairo Clive, Kibagendi Antoney, Brian Weke, Mogeni Erick, Wamboka Wanami, Patrick Makau, Kimilu Joshua, Caleb Amisi, and Majimbo Kalasinga, alongside other ODM leaders and allies.
Busia’s selection as the launchpad comes at a time when ODM is facing internal wrangles since the death of long-serving party leader Raila Odinga in October of las year with Sunday’s event anticipated to set the tone for the tour’s momentum nationwide.
