Digital financial services platform M-Shwari has strongly dismissed allegations of fraudulent activity circulating on social media regarding an account held by Brian Aballah, terming the claims inaccurate and misleading.
In a statement released on Tuesday, M-Shwari said it had reviewed the matter and confirmed that the allegations are factually incorrect and inconsistent with the customer’s account records.
Customer Engagement and Verification
According to the statement, M-Shwari’s Customer Experience team directly engaged with the customer mentioned in the online claims as part of its internal review process.
“Following a review of the matter, we wish to clarify that the allegations are factually incorrect and inconsistent with the customer account records,” the statement read.
The company has now formally requested that the misleading statements be withdrawn and cease to be circulated on social media platforms.
M-Shwari emphasized that it operates under the regulation of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and is trusted by millions of Kenyans to safeguard their savings.
The platform reiterated its commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and transparent financial services, noting that customer trust remains central to its operations.
Call for Direct Engagement
M-Shwari also encouraged customers to engage directly with its support teams in cases of account concerns or discrepancies.
“We remain committed to transparency, fair and constructive engagement. Customers are encouraged to contact our support teams should they wish to review account records or resolve any genuine discrepancies,” the statement added.
