U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that global rap icon Nicki Minaj has been financially supporting initiatives linked to him, claiming the superstar has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into Trump accounts aimed at helping children connected to her fanbase.
Speaking at a summit launching investment accounts for children, Trump praised Minaj as “the greatest and most successful female rapper in history,” as he recounted his daughter’s excitement at her presence.
He highlighted Minaj’s financial success and generosity, emphasizing that her contributions were focused on supporting children, particularly those connected to her devoted fan community.
“Nicki makes a lot of money and she’s generously stepping up,” Trump said, adding that her decision to support causes close to her fans made sense.
“Why should you give to somebody else’s fans? Give to your friends. I like that.”
Trump also addressed Minaj’s long-rumored political leanings, stating that although he did not know her personally at first, he had consistently heard that she was a strong Trump supporter.
He acknowledged that her stance had attracted criticism over the years, noting that her community was not traditionally aligned with him politically, but insisted that his support within that demographic had been stronger than many expected.
“Nicki has been an unbelievable supporter,” Trump concluded, applauding her loyalty despite backlash.
Nicki Minaj Backs Trump
Minaj, for her part, left little room for doubt about where she stands. In her own remarks, the rapper described herself as the president’s “number one fan,” making it clear that public criticism and online backlash have only strengthened her resolve.
“The hate, or what people have to say, does not affect me at all,” Minaj said.
“It actually motivates me to support him more.”
She went on to frame her support in both political and spiritual terms, arguing that attempts to discredit Trump through bullying and smear campaigns would fail. According to Minaj, Trump commands immense backing and enjoys divine protection.
“He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him,” she said, adding that she believes more supporters will rally rather than retreat.
