Offset has denied sharing a social media post that appeared to question the paternity of Cardi B’s newborn child with American football star Stefon Diggs, calling the widely circulated screenshot “fabricated” as tensions between the former couple spilled into public view over the weekend.
The dispute began after an Instagram story, allegedly from the rapper, appeared online. It featured the words, “My kid lol,” a remark many interpreted as a claim about Cardi B’s baby. The post was quickly deleted, but it spread across platforms, prompting criticism and confusion among fans.

Offset, through a representative, said the image was not real.
“Any statements attributed to Offset circulating on social media are completely fabricated,” his spokesperson told E! News. The representative added that Cardi B had responded to “misinformation” and that the situation had “escalated unnecessarily.” According to the statement, Offset “has remained supportive of Cardi and genuinely wishes her nothing but the best.”
Cardi B, who has been open about the pressures that accompany her public life, reacted strongly in a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter. The messages have since been deleted, but in them she spoke about the emotional toll of persistent harassment.
“Y’all think it’s funny and it’s not,” she wrote. “It’s been over a year and I’m still being harassed and threatened… it’s all fun and games until it’s too late.”
In another post she added: “People do anything for attention and it could get real nasty with just one upload… leave me alone.”
She later addressed the issue again on an X Space, saying she was “tired of getting harassed.” Cardi claimed she faced both private and public pressure. “I have every single receipt,” she said. “I can’t take it anymore.”
Cardi B and Offset share three children: Kulture, aged 7; Wave, 4; and Blossom, 1. Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024, though the process has not been completed.
The tension comes as Offset promotes his album Haunted by Fame, which includes what some listeners have described as pointed lyrical references to his ex-partner. Neither artist has commented on the interpretation of those lyrics.
For now, both sides appear firm in their positions: Offset insists the viral post was not his, and Cardi maintains she is dealing with ongoing online abuse. The wider debate over harassment of public figures-particularly women-continues to grow.
