Nicki Minaj has issued a rare public apology to Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, after a bitter exchange with her rival spiralled into personal attacks this week.
The two rap stars, whose feud stretches back almost a decade, reignited their rivalry online in recent days. What began as sharp words quickly turned personal, with both women accused of dragging each other’s children into the fight.
In a post on X, Minaj addressed Kulture directly. “Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand,” she wrote. “You’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features.”
Minaj went on to admit fault. “I apologise. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity… you’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.”
But her statement also carried a defensive edge. “One day your mother, aunt & many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy,” she added.
Cardi B responded swiftly, warning Minaj to keep her children out of the feud. “Let this be the LAST TIME you mention my kids,” she wrote, also making comments about Minaj’s son.
The apology highlights the raw intensity of one of hip-hop’s most enduring rivalries. Since 2017, both artists have traded barbs across music, interviews and social media. The latest clash has drawn strong reactions from fans, many criticising the decision to involve children in the fight.
Whether Minaj’s apology will soften tensions remains uncertain. For now, it has only underscored how personal—and public—the feud has become.
