Kenyan universities are more than academic institutions. They are formative spaces where young minds shape their values, identities and future.Yet, beneath the surface of lectures and exams ,many students silently battle emotional distress, isolation and identity struggle. It is time for higher learning institutions to evolve beyond academics and intentionally foster environments that promote dialogue , healing and personal growth.
Developing safe space for dialogue allows students to be able and free to share up their feelings, desires and thoughts without fear of being judged. These platforms will encourage open conversations about various topics , enabling students express their experiences and opinions. Discussions about Mental health among students can enable them to share and learn from each other by navigating each other emotions.Through prioritizing these safe space, universities encourage students to grow both emotionally and physically, creating a purposeful campus life.

Healing starts when institutions understand campus life. From academic distress , financial challenges and other challenges that students undergo. Institutions should provide counseling services. The universities` staff should be well experienced to solve various challenges affecting students.
Growth begins where the institution empower students to lead and also showcase their talents thus promoting physically, emotional and psychologically growth. To shape the values of tomorrow’s leaders, the higher learning institutions should support their students accordingly.
