Kenyan influencer Miss Omuts has sparked an online debate after challenging fellow content creator Pritty Vishy over her portrayal of recovering from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
In a series of social media posts, Miss Omuts said Vishy’s public updates painted a picture that was “too easy” and risked misleading young women considering the surgery.
“You cannot sit for at least four weeks, sometimes even six,” Miss Omuts explained. “It’s painful. You can’t sit or lie on your hips because the fat is still settling.”

Miss Omuts, who underwent the procedure nine months ago, questioned where Vishy had her surgery. She noted that Vishy’s ability to attend public events so soon after the operation seemed at odds with the standard recovery process.
Pritty Vishy had revealed earlier this year that she combined a BBL with liposuction. She also claimed she attended musician Cashmeer’s high-profile event while still in pain. That appearance, Miss Omuts warned, could give the wrong impression to fans.
“A BBL does not allow you to lean on anything for weeks,” she said. “You never really ‘heal’ in the way people think. Pritty Vishy, you’re making it look so simple. People need to be mentally prepared.”
According to Miss Omuts, the pain and restrictions can last for three months, with full recovery taking even longer. She urged anyone thinking about the surgery to seek accurate information and not base decisions solely on influencers’ posts.
While Pritty Vishy has yet to respond directly, her supporters argue that every body heals differently and that her experience may simply have been less difficult than most.
For now, the disagreement highlights a bigger question in the age of social media: how much responsibility do influencers have to show the less glamorous side of cosmetic procedures?
