DAR ES SALAAM – Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his wife, Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, are expecting their first child together.
The couple revealed the news on Thursday via Instagram, sharing an intimate maternity shoot. The photos show Priscilla cradling her growing baby bump while dressed in a white cropped top and denim jeans. Jux, in matching attire, gently places his hand on her belly — a tender image of their shared anticipation.
Their caption was short and sweet: “MOM & DAD 💫 BLESSED • GRATEFUL • THANKFUL.”
The announcement follows a string of high-profile wedding ceremonies earlier this year. Their journey to becoming husband and wife was nothing short of grand, spanning multiple cultures and countries.
Their union began with a traditional Islamic Nikkah ceremony in Tanzania in February, followed by a Yoruba ceremony in Lagos on 17 April, and finally a white wedding on 19 April. The celebrations culminated in a star-studded party in Dar es Salaam on 28 May, attended by regional music royalty and public figures.
Speaking to Wasafi TV after the wedding, Jux said Priscilla’s embrace of his faith meant everything to him. “She respected my beliefs fully, even received an Islamic name during our Nikkah,” he explained.
The couple’s relationship, by Jux’s account, began in early 2024. They met during a work trip to Rwanda, stayed at the same hotel, and struck up a conversation through mutual friends. What started as casual chats soon turned into a deep connection built on shared values and humour.
In July 2024, the relationship became public when Jux featured Priscilla in a music video. Not long after, she posted a simple photo on Instagram with the caption: “Mine.”
Now, as they await their child, the couple’s journey takes yet another beautiful turn. In one of the photos shared online, they hold up ultrasound scans — a quiet, powerful symbol of new life on the horizon.
