Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi revealed that he was inside his Muthaiga mansion when police raided it on Thursday, August 8.
Footage from within Wanjigi’s home showed a heavily armed multi-agency team conducting the raid in a movie-like scene, pointing their lasers and giving instructions as if in a high-risk operation, scouring for evidence.
Wanjigi said he watched on from an undisclosed location within his house as security agents harassed his family before planting the evidence they claimed to have found.

“Yes, I was inside my home, but beyond that, I will not tell you where and how and what there is in my home,” he said during an interview with Citizen TV.
Wanjigi, along with his wife, children, and mother, feared for his life, claiming that the police were being used to conduct criminal activities by his pursuers.
However, the political strategist did not reveal more information about his whereabouts in his Muthaig fortress which is rumoured to have an impenetrable bunker or panic room.
“Who told you I have a bunker, why should I tell you? Because if I tell you I will be telling them. I will never tell them,” Wanjigi wittingly responded when asked about his house.
This is the second time Wanjigi has been hunted in his own house and mysteriously evaded police from arresting him. Wanjigi claims the two former President’s used the police to conduct criminal activities.
“On two occasions, they’ve planted stuff. I even watched them plant the evidence outside. To say I have grenades is to say I’m waging a war on this country using arms, which I’m not,” he fervently declared.
Wanjigi vehemently denied possessing the grenades and owning the vehicle in which tear gas canisters were allegedly found. He said he was not a terrorist and suggested the police should issue a summons if they want to question him.
“Stop looking for me in my house, you will never find me. Seven years ago, they looked for me in this house and they could not find me. Even now, if you look for me in this house you will not find me. Please, don’t do it again. You will be wasting your time,” he added.
He obtained a court order on Friday, preventing the police from arresting him or restricting his movement.
