Celebrated socialite Amber Ray and her husband Kennedy Rapudo, held a lavish white-themed, fairytale birthday party for their daughter Africanah Rapudo over the weekend. This was their daughter’s first birthday and they put out all the stops to ensure it was unforgettable.
Some of the Kenyan celebrities who showed up included popular names like Oga Obinna, Eric Omondi, Phoina Tosha and other prominent content creators like Dem wa Facebook. The party could have easily passed for the reception of a high-end wedding, with a four-tier cake and gorgeous floral décor making it feel less birthdaylike and more bride and groomish. The attendees were dressed to kill. Dem Wa Facebook showed up in a red flowy dress she said cost her a good Ksh 15,000.
The theme of the party was fairies and princesses in Wonderland, with Amber Ray’s dress mimicking a princess’ ball gown. The décor read “Welcome to Africanah’s fairyland”.
In addition, there was a lot of lilac, pink and purple at the event, with several of the gentlemen dressed in all-white complementing Amber, Rapudo and daughter Afrikana’s white outfits. Overall, the set-up was elegant, indicative of Amber’s expensive taste.
Amber Ray had a ginger wig with beautiful white butterfly details while Rapudo wore an all-white suit with gold-coloured details. Their son Gavin was also in all-white.
KRG the Don and Risper Faith were also notably in attendance.
Seeing this was a fairytale-themed event, the ladies were in ball gowns of different colours and designs. Everything at the event spoke of elegance from the chandeliers to the table set-up, to the flowers on the table along with the candles, were all exquisite.
Speaking to journalists, Rapudo intimated that he has planned an invite-only Ruracio for himself and Amber, followed by a wedding. Thereafter, he hinted that Afrikana wouldn’t be their last born and that he wanted more children with Amber.
